In 1996 award-winning composers Ric Markmann, Danny Pinnella and Christopher “Wag” Wagner formed Matter. A musical composition co-op for film, television, advertising and collaborations with some of the finest names in music. Ric, Danny and Wag’s composing careers are a natural outgrowth of their successes in the music world having worked with a long and diverse group of artists including The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Chris Cornell, Heart, The Latch Bros, Liz Phair, The Beastie Boys, Neil Diamond, Alice in Chains and David Lee Roth. Clients include ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, Sony pictures, Warner Brothers, Paramount, Universal, Disney, Nickelodeon, VH1, MTV, New Line, Lionsgate, Viacom, Discovery Channel, Apple, The Gap,. Matter has provided works for innumerable projects including “Wedding Crashers,” “The New Adventures of Old Christine,” “The Fresh Beat Band,” Oscar-winning documentary “The Cove,” “Single Ladies,” “Fred Claus” and “Shanghai Nights,” “Apple,” “The Bourne Identity,” “Men In Black”.
